  A. Put the following into indirect speech      
                           
  1. "I have something to show you," I said to her.    
  2. "I'm going away tomorrow, mother," she said.    
  3. "I've been in London for a month but so far I haven't time
       to visit the tower," said Robert.          
  4. "It isn't so foggy as it was yesterday," I remarked    
  5. " I have a German lesson this afternoon and I have done my home
        work yet," said the small boy.            
  6. "I'll come with you as soon as I am ready," she replied.  
  7. "From the windows of my flat I can see the Eifel tower,"said my friend.
  8. "We have a lift but very often it doesn't work," they said.
  9. "If you give me some wire, I'll mend the fuse for you," said my brother.
  10."I know exactly what they said," the detective explained.
  11. He said," I am quite a good cook and I do all my own washing."  
  12. "We like working on Sundays because we get double pay," explained
         the builders.                  
  13. "I couldn't get into the house because I had lost my key, so

  10. "Don't argue with your father," I said.        
  11. "Each the house," said the police sergeant.      
  12. "Put your pistol on the the table," said the crook.

  Present perfect tense is changed into past perfect tense  
  Future tense is changed into past future tense .      
  Present progressive tense is changed into past progressive tense

  tomorrow is changed into the next day / the following day  
  next week is changed into the following week.      
  next Sunday is changed into the following Sunday.    
  two days ago is changed into two days before      
  this day is changed into that day            
  now is changed into then
